Tallaght Youth Band

The Vikings have just returned from a very successful trip to the UK. They came a very impressive 3rd place and again the Guard took the top prize and also took music ensemble. We could not have had a better end to our season. It was an emotional end to the season as we are losing some of our longest serving members. They have all assured us that they will be here to help and I have no doubt they will follow up on this. We also have mixed feelings about Jenna Foley leaving - we are gutted to see her go but so proud that she has been asked to join Mayflower and we wish her the best of luck and know she will give back to TYB in the years ahead. There is one man who has worked tirelessly over the past few years, to constantly want the best from both band members and committee. He has been an inspiration to us all and his enthusiasm for everything TYB is a privilege to witness. He is always striving for perfection and improvement and we are lucky to have him on our side. To Marty, Thank you for the season and we all look forward to working hard for you in 2012.
